PASTORS GRONBERG AND MOHN
ACCEPT CALL TO TRINITY
The Synod Office just notified me that they have received the signed call
letters and compensation documents from Pastor Erik Gronberg and Pastor
Kendra Mohn. The Synod Office is putting those in the mail to me today.
Thus will begin a new ministry at Trinity. We can expect our new pastors to
arrive in Fort Worth prior to 16 August, orientation at Brite Divinity for
Pastor Mohn, with Pastor Gronberg officiating at his first service on
Sunday 22 August. Many thanks to those who have served us over the last
nine months to make this happen.
Pastor Alicia’s Farewell
Luncheon NEXT Sunday
After the 10:30 a.m. worship service, next Sunday, August 8, we will
celebrate Pastor Alicia Thompson-Summers and her ministry among us. Please
plan to join us for a potluck luncheon and the opportunity to say a fond
farewell.
ACTS Bible Study Update
The Sunday morning ACTS bible study group is studying what God is calling us
- members of his church - to do. With Pastor Gronberg and Pastor Mohn
coming, we will be working on what God is calling each and every one of us
to do, individually and collectively. The ACTS Bible study is well-suited to
help us to be ready. Call Don Darling at 817-284-0297 or Donna or Doug Will
at 817-448-9414 with any questions.

Church Nursery
We need a few good, loving, patient volunteers to stay with our little ones!
If we have several people involved, we can rotate to serve once every 4 to 6
to 8 weeks! We need someone each Sunday, from 9 a.m. to noon. Please
prayerfully consider this request--is God calling you to help nurture his
little children and, consequently, their parents also? Please contact
Abigail McDonald (817-980-4505), if you are interested in helping on a
Sunday, in our new church nursery. THANKS!
Share Your Smile – Be a Greeter!
A few more good greeters would be wonderful! When there are many of us to
help, none of us will get as tired. If you're willing to volunteer, we're
willing to give you instructions on what a greeter does. Please call Mary
Blaha at 817/923-1069 to join in. Thank you for your assistance.
E-Mail Updates from Trinity
We send out global e-mails to the congregation for announcements, special
events, important information, etc. Our distribution list is comprised of
all e-mail addresses currently on file for publication in the church
directory. If you have an e-mail address, and you have not been receiving
communications from Trinity, please send a note to Pennie Saadallah, TLC
Webmaster, at this e-mail address: communications@tlcfw.org.
Altar Flowers
There are several dates available on Flower Chart, which is posted in the
church office. The altar flowers are available for you to honor or remember
your loved one(s) or to highlight some special occasion. Please make
reservations by signing this chart. The cost for both arrangements is
$50.00. You may share the cost with another family, if the first
person/family who signs up is willing to do so. Flowers may be taken, after
the 10:30 a.m. service, for your personal enjoyment. This is a loving way to
praise God and share the beauty of His creation.
Would YOU like to be a Worship Leader on Sunday Morning?
How would you like to serve God and your fellow members of Trinity? We’re
looking for people who are interested in serving as Assistant Minister, Lay
Reader, or Communion Assistant. If you’ve considered doing so, but haven’t
told anyone, please contact Wally Diehl, Chairperson of the Worship Life
Commission. He may be reached at wallydiehl@sbcglobal.net or 817-249-0872.
We’re Looking for a Few Good … USHERS
Would you be willing to help with usher duties? Teams rotate on a monthly
basis and divide responsibilities between the two worship services. A manual
is available which outlines the specific tasks involved, i.e., assist those
with physical limitations by providing access to a wheelchair or scooter,
distribute bulletins to worship attendees, assist with passing offering
plates, and collect cards during communion. Please speak with or contact
Kermit Anderson (817-246-3919), Usher Coordinator, if you are interested or
have questions about the duties and requirements of this important volunteer
position.
