Oct. 19th Wednesday Conversation. Go RANGERS!!!
I know it is the first game of the Ranger's World Series, but whoever would like to, I will be at the T&P Tavern http://tptavern.com/tomorrow evening at 7:30pm for conversation around the article you can find here…

The Title is, When God Seems Far Away.
While this journal is intended for pastoral leaders, it is also relevent I believe for lay leaders within congregations. God doesn't always seem right next to us, it can be challenging to see God at work in our lives all the time. Some questions to stimulate conversation…
1) Can you think of a time that God felt very close to you? What did that feel like?
2) Can you think of a time God felt far away? What was that like?
3) Does it make you feel any better to know Mother Theresa struggled with this? Or does it make it seem more helpless (if someone with that much faith struggled, do I have a prayer?)?
4) What is a reasonable level of expectation of joy to have as a Christian? Should we always feel up? Is it ok to be down sometimes?
5) How do you work to reconnect with God, or do you?
Look forward to seeing you all there. Go Rangers!!!
